Mid-size Sedan · what it costs new, what it’s worth used, and who has one near you.

The 2016 Toyota Corolla is a mid-size sedan we track across the used market in Canada. It comes in gas (7.9 L/100 km) and hybrid (4.5 L/100 km) forms, so the main choice is fuel — the hybrid earns its premium back over enough kilometres. A 40-year-old one keeps roughly 105% of a current model's market price — what actually matters over five years of ownership.

1 campaign issued by the manufacturer
Air Bags · Air Bag/restraint Control Module
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2011-2019 Corolla, 2011-2013 Matrix, 2012-2018 Avalon, and 2013-2018 Avalon Hybrid vehicles. During certain crashes, the air bag electronic control unit (ECU) may malfunction, possibly disabling the deployment of the air bags and/or seat belt pretensioners.
Campaign 20V024000
Recall campaigns are manufacturer-issued and fixed free of charge. This is the US campaign set matched by year, make and model — it is not a check against a specific VIN, and Canadian campaigns may differ.
