Compact Sedan · what it costs new, what it’s worth used, and who has one near you.

The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze is a compact sedan we track across the used market in Canada. It comes in gas (8.8 L/100 km) and hybrid (6.3 L/100 km) forms, so the main choice is fuel — the hybrid earns its premium back over enough kilometres. A 8-year-old one keeps roughly 35% of a current model's market price — what actually matters over five years of ownership.

Safety recalls
2 campaigns issued by the manufacturer
Fuel System, Gasoline
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Chevrolet Cruze LS vehicles, equipped with a gasoline engine and a tire inflator kit instead of a spare tire. The vehicles may leak gasoline following a rear-impact crash and a rollover. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 301, "Fuel System Integrity."
Campaign 18V304000
Seats · Front Assembly · Head Restraint
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. A bracket used in the driver or front passenger seat-back recliner mechanism may have been incorrectly welded to the seat-back frame, as a result, in the event of a crash, the head-restraints may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 202a, "Head Restraints."
Campaign 17V057000
Recall campaigns are manufacturer-issued and fixed free of charge. This is the US campaign set matched by year, make and model — it is not a check against a specific VIN, and Canadian campaigns may differ.
